add to favorites Whitby 42 - Price: Euro €119,000 NEGOTIABLE www.leemarine.com
Ted Brewer has long been recognized as one of the outstanding designers of cruising boats of all kinds. The Whitby 42 is vintage Ted Brewer and certainly his most successful design. This yacht is a fully customized cutter-ketch based on the Whitby 42 hull. It is a handsome and rugged looking yacht and many have achieved extended offshore passages in perfect safety.

This particular example has a list of extras and custom modifications far too long to list here but, suffice it to say, she has benefited from being owned by an experienced cruising couple who have spared nothing in making her the ideal world cruiser. Quality, attention to detail, strength and longevity guided every addition or modification and she is now ready to head off around the world with new owners.

A very safe center cockpit design, she features very comfortable accommodation in two large cabins fore and aft each with it s own heads. Sea worthy galley and a cosy saloon with excellent storage lend a very traditional look to the yacht. Nice touches such as huge fridge / freezer space, Nitronic lifelines, oversize winches, davits, solid vang, high output alternator etc etc are just a few of the details her new owner will enjoy.

Painted in Awlgrip blue she is offered for sale very reluctantly as her owners must move ashore. For a complete inventory and full details of her many quality additions please contact Lee Marine today

The Ted Brewer design Whitby 42 must be one of the most popular cruising yachts in the world. This cruising yacht keeps appearing wherever you have blue water voyagers congregating. This particular yacht has been extremely well maintained by her long term owners and presents very well indeed. She is ketch rigged with all lines led to cockpit for ease of sail handling when cruising without an army of crew aboard.

The center cockpit with hard dodger is a great idea and gives a feeling of security when at sea. Below there are two large cabins with a U-shaped galley and a very warm and cozy saloon. Lots of opening hatches are very handy in the tropics. She underwent a big refit in 2005 which included new chainplates and standing rigging, paint, caprail etc. Sail inventory is all very good.

Owners have a genuine reason for the sale and any prospective buyer would be looking to purchase a very well found sea boat with a proven ability to cross oceans. Loaded with cruising inventory we are encouraging offers.

add to favorites Gaff Rigged Schooner - Price: US $65,000 NEGOTIABLE www.leemarine.com
Here is a beautiful William Garden designed schooner whose performance belies her looks. Built in triple skinned kauri in 1981 she is a work of art. She has had two owners apart from her builder and they have all spared nothing when it came to maintenance and upkeep. Her length on deck is 30 feet but with the bowsprit and long main boom she is 42 feet LOA.

Jersey Lily s interior has storage fwd and sleeping accommodation for three. The glow of the timber and the craftsmanship that went into her construction is plain to see. Small touches such as carved nameboards and oil lamps are everywhere. She has a compact galley for weekend cruising though the headroom is limited of course.

On deck is where you will want to spend your time. Schooner rigged with simple spreaderless masts and a gaff rigged foresail she is an easy boat to sail shorthanded. The aft davits carry a classic timber tender and her cockpit is surprisingly roomy for a yacht of this size.

This yacht will give her new owner a taste of the reason we all go sailing. You won t be spending money on the latest electronics and spectra sails but you will enjoy sailing a well behaved yacht that is a joy to the eye. Lee Marine look forward to sending you complete details on her.

add to favorites J-130 - Price: US $160,000 NEGOTIABLE www.leemarine.com
The J/130 is truly a multi-purpose boat that can offer podium performances down at the local yacht club whilst being very easy to handle shorthanded offering enjoyable cruising with friends or family. In fact it has been written that the J/130 would be best for intense club racing, shorthanded sailing, and coastal cruising.
One of the first things you notice about this yacht is the boats clean, functional, and user-friendly cockpit and un-cluttered deck, along with the very seemingly simple sailing controls. Normally on a performance boat you would expect to see rows of piano keys and overall confusing array of control lines in the cockpit however Jigonda having the asymmetrical spinnaker flown from the retractable bowsprit providing easy downwind sailing with all halyards led to the cockpit makes for a very simple user friendly set up.

The Hallspars triple-spreader near masthead fractional rig was replaced with new in 1998 along with all new rod rigging. The hull/deck structure is exceptionally light thanks to high-quality balsa-cored laminates produced by state-of-the-art resin-infusion molding technology. Down below she has a three cabin one head with the aft-galley L shaped galley to strb layout, settee in the main cabin, and a double quarter berth to port with two hinged cot berths in the starboard quarter. The galley features big double sinks, cold pressure water, a 2 burner stove with oven, and generous stowage. The head -offers hot shower and easy maintenance, including easy access to all plumbing. There is a generous nav station to port with VHF, SSB radios and Auto pilot which will require some attention after purchase but the Furono GPS is working fine.

The sail wardrobe includes a full set of Kevlar sails that were new in 2005 and have done two regattas since. In total she comes with 15 sails with the latest Kevlar set purchased in. Overall the condition of the boat reflects the current owner’s high standards and is a product of always having professionals manage his investment. The boat has a current IRC certificate as well as all the safety equipment required for Cat 1 offshore sailing whilst some items may need servicing. Lee Marine are proud to represent this well known and widely admired cruiser/racer in Asian waters and encourage all interested to contact brokerage@leemarine. This example of the Kurt Reinke designed aluminum bilge keel cruising boats are hugely popular in Europe and for good reason. Built for the cruising sailor who likes to sail and get there quickly whilst not sacrificing any of the creature comforts of living aboard. There are many of these Reinke yachts currently sailing around the globe which all seem to have a respect by those that have spent time on them.
This yacht is surprisingly quick under sail and with an interior layout that dares to be different, offering 2 double cabins fore and aft one electric head and a single sea berth aft on the port side. The chart table is nice and large and is just down to port from the companionway which is very handy when under a long passage. The saloon table and seating are opposite on the strb side in the raised saloon so that you can sit down and literally see out the coachhouse windows from this position. Fwd of this is the galley and fwd again is the head and double cabin which is just off to the starboard side. The engine room is easily accessible being under the cockpit/saloon floor and roomy to work in.

The whole boat is very well engineered. Storage is no problem either. The cockpit is well protected by a fixed dodger with recent hardtop fitted. Solar panels cover the aft deck and transom. The owner will consider all offers on this stunning refitted in 2002 and again in 2008 Pearson 46. Great buying will be achieved on this fully optioned yacht
The Pearson Countess 46 is a beautiful yacht designed by the very well-known yacht designer John Alden. This Pearson 46 has a stunning classic style and looks which is enhanced by beautiful exterior paint work which keeps this vessel in the condition she truly deserves. The whole yacht was rebuilt in New Zealand and many aspects of woodwork were built new or rebuilt in Thailand. New teak trim and a varnished cap rail add to the pleasing lines of this full keeled vessel.

The second owner of this yacht has cared for and refitted very well this 46ft ketch and the presentation is testament to the owners expenditure on the refit. There are core samples to view of the hand laid solid cored hull which shows just how robustly built she is.

The very generous aft cockpit which is deep, spacious and is well protected from the elements by a full bimni and dodger. Wide walk around side decks, large fore deck surrounded by solid stainless steel lifelines make getting around this boat safe and practical. The aft lazzarette is huge and the custom made push pit extends the transom and creates a great place to sit, fish or shower. The two engines aboard are the main Westerbeke 115HP propulsion and an Onan 3kw genset. Down below is perfect for to two to live aboard. The very large deck saloon allows an abundance of light and lots headroom down below. The large double V berth is forward and has an adjoining ensuite. Forward of the berths and ensuite is a very large longitudinal galley and dinette all on the same level which is surrounded by bookshelves and cupboard space which is plentiful on this vessel. The 16000 BTU air conditioning is powered by either generator or shore power and is a very welcome addition to the topics. Stepping up from the galley and dinette is another saloon with the settee being able to be converted into a double berth. Also in this area is the navigation station close by the companionway entrance that has full electronics.

Built in New Zealand to very high standards and designed by Allan Wright she is the perfect family cruising boat that has been meticulously maintained by her current owners and easily sailed shorthanded with all sail control adjusted from the safety of the cockpit. She is a centre cockpit cutter rig design with traditionally 3 cabins but currently the third strd aft cabin has been converted to a well equipped workshop, she has a double V berth fwd with adjoining toilet whilst aft is the master cabin with a queen size double berth and ensuite. The aft cabin has deck access thru an escape hatch which in practice allows good ventilation. The nav station is down the companionway on the strb side just fwd of the workshop and the U-shaped galley is adjacent on the port side. The main engine is a Volvo TMD30 110hp and has great access from all sides and the newly installed generator housed in a sound proof box is located in the strb aft lazerette.
On deck the centre cockpit is sheltered from the elements by a newly fitted bimini with roll down clears and brand new cockpit cushions. In un-favourable conditions the captain and crew can be fully sheltered in the safety of the cockpit sailing the boat completely dry. Next to the companionway stairs and under the hard dodger sits a Raymarine C80 chartplotter with radar overlay well positioned for the helmsman. Also in reach of the helmsman are the electric controls for the boom furling mainsail, VHF radio, auto pilot depth/speed wind etc/. The yacht has nice high freeboard for offshore conditions which allows the headroom below consistently 6’4” throughout. Both the genoa and staysails are on furlers. add to favorites Wauquiez Centurion 48S - Price: Euro €189,000 NEGOTIABLE www.leemarine.com
If you are looking for a well set up yacht that has the smart the design characteristics of a production yacht with quality of a custom yacht then the Wauquiez 48S may be the yacht for you.
There is no better way to get to know a yacht than for an owner to give a testimony to his own yacht. Rather than provide a total outside point of view we are lucky enough read detailed extracts from the owners on why they purchased a Wauquiez

Wauquiez Centurion 48S - Why?

A few years ago I couldn t even say Wauquiez, much less spell it. So why do I now own a Wauquiez Centurion 48S and what is it that we like about her?

WHAT APPEALED - The Centurion is an aft cockpit boat like our Catalina. She was older than the Catalina and a little tired. The extra 6 feet of the 48S, however, could satisfy the admirals needs for space and, in addition, a number of features really clicked for us The hull construction is immensely strong with double skins formed over a foam core. It is stiffened by huge square section foam slabs between the skins, which create a series of massive box section stiffeners. The mainsheet traveller is on a stainless steel cockpit arch, so providing a safe cockpit and better mechanical advantage than the Catalina, which had the mainsheet traveller forward of the coach roof with the connection near the middle of the boom. The rig and deck hardware is of a size and strength more characteristic of other manufacturers 55-footers. There is a dedicated boot on the sugar-scoop for the life-raft. The yacht was designed by Ed Dubois, who was also responsible for the 48 Pilot Saloon that was beyond our reach, and the hull, mechanical systems, electrical systems and rig on the Centurion 48S are nearly identical to the 48 PS. With three heads/shower compartments available, we could sacrifice one for a laundry. Seeing the combination of a performance rig with an extremely high specification hull provided clarity on what we really wanted Safety Fast (as Jaguar cars once claimed in their advertisements). PROOF OF THE PUDDING - So four years, seventeen countries, two of the three main global canals and 25,000 miles later are we still convinced and what are the features we value? Thankfully, particularly given the huge program of work we lavished on her, we are still in love with INTSOMI our Wauquiez 48S. Her name means Fairy Story in Zulu and she has certainly lived up to it.

The promise of Safety Fast has been fulfilled. We sail her more and faster than our Catalina and motor a lot less. Her lazy-line system has been replaced with a lazy-bag and our skills with slab reefing have much improved. The admiral always calls the shots on when to reef and she IS rightly respected. The mainsheet traveller arch ensures a safe cockpit while supporting a full bimini which is much appreciated, particularly in the tropics. The addition of an inner fore-stay, running back-stays and a storm jib, coupled with a deep third reef gives us the ability to go up-wind in heavy weather. We have grown to respect the choice of deck hardware (Harken batt-car system, Lewmar 105 Racing blocks, Lewmar Racing genoa car system, Lewmar Racing mainsheet traveller and oversized winches. The Ed Dubois design really works. She is stiff and dry in a good blow and does not leak. Mechanical systems (Yanmar with a V-drive) and 24 Volt electrical systems are also well designed and implemented. The sacrifice of a shower/basin in the third heads has given us a washing machine and a tumble drier while allowing us to retain a third heads for occasional use. Our Spade anchor, bought in Tunis, Tunisia coupled with 100m of 12mm chain, bought in Marmaris, Turkey gives peace of mind. The original Lofrans Leopard 24 Volt anchor winch is powerful and works faultlessly. The Whitlock steering is light and positive and the 24 Volt Whitlock autopilot motor keeps a heading in all but the most challenging situations. One of the five water tanks has been converted for fuel giving us a fuel capacity of 490 litres and range of over 600 miles under power. We still retain a water capacity of 750 litres and this is supplemented, if needs be, by a 24 Volt water-maker, providing great autonomy for water. Our Westerbeke 1500 RPM 5.6KW gen-set provides autonomy for electricity and easily runs the washer and drier as well as charging the 24 Volt system. A 24 Volt electric halyard winch helps raising the main less of an effort. Our Vetus bow-thruster (also 24 Volt) helps with short handed berthing. A decision to mount the Raymarine radar/chart-plotter screen at the helm has been a real boon, particularly for Red Sea reef anchorages (thanks to Heinz Muehlberger, the original owner of our Catalina, who had both radar and chart-plotter screens mounted at the helm, and to Raymarine who managed to combine same into a single screen). The internal joinery provides a daily reminder of the quality of the original fit-out. We have changed a lot without changing the essence of the boat. In fact, before we make changes, we always ask ourselves what Henri Wauquiez would have thought of our plans. We like to believe he would approve of INTSOMI.

A FEW LAST WORDS - The Centurion 48S has lived up to its promise of Safety Fast and has also enabled us to tick most of the boxes of the wish-list that we developed based on our experiences with the Catalina 42 Mk2. We have spent too much money on her in some areas but, although we would not recover our investment if we were to sell, we can still honestly say that she is worth it to us. There is no other boat within 100,000 of the amount we have put in that could attract us to change but, being the people we are, we are still looking around. The admiral has been seen eying up catamarans?!

This is a great opportunity to take up the hard work, effort and expense of this well presented Wauquiez 48S. For an inspection and a full specification please contact Lee Marine Today.

Here is an extraordinary opportunity to own a Beautiful late model Hans Christian Yacht in fantastic condition and beautiful in all regard. She would make a fantastic world cruiser or luxurious classic live aboard or both.
This HC 48 T 2 cabin Americas version is robust like the HC is know for but utilizes modern construction techniques, finishes and mechanics. It is truly difficult not to stand and admire this Hans Christian 47 T (tradition) on the dock.

A light beige hull color contracts perfectly with the sun bleached teak which is set off by bronze fairleads and teak highlights. The cutter rig with bow sprit, generous beam and canoe stern gives a stylish traditional look with excellent sea keeping abilities. Large hatches are above the saloon and aft owners cabin which are perfect for the ventilation required in the tropics. A deep well protected cock pit make this a great place to entertain or feel the safest in the worst of conditions. She is set up for single handing as the owner frequently sails international voyages independently and in style I might add. The sails are easily handled, the main is fully battened in lazy jacks, the head sail and stay sail are all furling. Full instrumentation is installed for navigation which includes a plotter and auto pilot. The owner chose to upgrade to a 3 blade folding prop to enhance performance. The full keel is very sympathetic in any sea and her whole external set up from stem to stern is a must to inspect.

Internally the finishes comprise of substrates like bronze, teak, teak and holly, white marble, stainless steel and satin clear varnishes. The aft cabin has and abundance of hanging space a generous island double berth and separate shower and head. Head room is over 6ft 3 throughout. The galley is longitudinal and is accented with marble tops, bronze faucets and varnished teak. Great at sea and stunningly finished. The saloon is volumous and tastefully upholstered with seating for 8 comfortably. This is flanked to starboard by the nav station and control panel of the yacht. This is comprehensive, well thought out and fit for world cruising. Forward is another double with ensuite, good hanging space and well ventilated.

This Hans Christian 48T has been finished with the best hard ware, engine, electronics and high quality build materials from the Han Christian yard. Her specification is amazing and her lines are traditional with modern flare.

Full specifications are available on request and inspections with Lee Marine are highly recommended on this beautiful HC 48 T.
